Prototype: More than 6,145 express train cars of the Deutsche Bundesbahn are designated as UIC-X cars, which were put into service from 1952 and sometimes ran in express trains and in intercity traffic for half a century. These cars had a level of comfort that was previously unknown in Europe. The UIC-X cars were immediately put into high-quality express train use, especially in international services and in transit and inter-zone traffic to West Berlin and the GDR, these cars quickly became the standard. The existing F-train network (until 1956 with the then first and second carriage class, after that only the first) was converted to UIC carriages very quickly. For SX1 programming, remove a connected SUSI sound module. It is sufficient to interrupt the supply voltage (red wire) for the time of SX1 programming. SX2 or DCC programming is not affected. The software, firmware and sound data download can be obtained from the Doehler & Haass website .
