VT 795/995 DB Ep.IV

Rail Bus Set Series 795/995, German Federal Railways (DB), epoch IV.

Version with integrated headlight (top).
Standard with built-in interior lighting.

Prototypically painted and labeled. Used windows. Engine with flywheel. Drive on 2 axes. NEM 355 Coupler pocket with close-coupling link. Top lighting (white / red) alternating with the direction of travel. With interior decoration.

As "rescuers of the branch lines" the red railbuses appeared in the fifties. The model of the FLEISCHMANN model is the single-engine rail bus VT 95 with the sidecar VB 142, which is shorter than the towing vehicle. At the DB is still a VT 95 with sidecar VB 142 as a museum vehicle in use. Since the sidecar in the model was not equipped as a so-called control car with train driver's seat, drove the rail bus in two-part operation not as a coupled-Wendezug, but always "motor car ahead". The motor car had to be implemented thus in the destination station.
