Privacy settings

By selecting “Accept all technologies”, you consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies on our websites. In this way we can track your activities based on device and browser settings. The processing is carried out to integration of external content, integration of streamed content and statistical analysis. This involves passing data on to third parties in the US for processing. You can find further information in the privacy settings, on the basis of which you can also give your consent for individual purposes or individual technologies. There you may also withdraw your consent at any time for the future.

This website integrates content from other services, in order to enable the use of certain features (e. g. map feature) or to improve the user experience (e. g. characters and graphics).

  • Google Maps

Our website uses the external map service “Google Maps”, which is provided by Google. Google Maps enables the convenient use of the map feature on our website. When the map feature is used, information is also processed which is stored on users’ devices. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that users have retrieved the corresponding page of our website. Additionally, access data – such as the IP address, browser information, the website visited before, and the date and time of the server request – is transmitted to Google. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that users are logged in with or whether no user account exists. If users are logged in to Google, the user data will be directly associated with the corresponding Google account. Google stores the resulting usage data in the form of usage profiles and processes it, for its own statistical analysis and online advertising purposes, regardless of whether the user has a Google account.

Recipient: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google, LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US

Storage duration: We do not store any data when using “Google Maps”. For more information about how long “Google” stores data, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Third country transfer: When consenting to the use of Google Maps, this also includes consenting to a possible transfer of data to the US. The US is classified by the European Court of Justice as a country without an adequate level of data protection and without appropriate safeguards according to EU standards. In particular, there is a risk that your personal data may be processed by US authorities for monitoring and surveillance purposes, possibly without the possibility of a legal remedy to prevent access to the data or to establish the illegality of the access. In addition, there can be no assurance that your rights as a data subject can be fully implemented and that supervisory authorities in the US will take appropriate remedial action. Using Google Maps involves such data transfers to third countries. If you do not wish to consent to your data being transferred to a third country, then you must disable Google Maps.

  • YouTube

Plug-ins from the streaming platform “YouTube.de” or “YouTube.com” are integrated into our website, making it possible to play videos directly on our website. When the streaming feature is used, information is also processed which is stored on users’ devices. The purpose of this data processing is to integrate visual content (“videos”) on the website that we have published on “YouTube.de”/”YouTube.com”. The videos are embedded in “extended privacy mode”, which means that no data about users will be transferred to YouTube if they do not play the videos. When videos are played on our website, YouTube receives the information that the corresponding page of our website has been retrieved. Additionally, access data – in particular the IP address, browser information, the website visited before, and the date and time of the server request – is transmitted to Google. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account that users are logged in with or whether no user account exists. If users are logged in to Google, the user data will be directly associated with the corresponding YouTube account. YouTube stores the data in the form of usage profiles and processes it, for statistical analysis and online advertising purposes, regardless of whether the user has a Google account.

Recipient: YouTube LLC (headquarters at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, US; controller within the EU: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; Google, LLC 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US (hereinafter referred to as “YouTube”))

Storage duration: We do not store any data when using YouTube. For more information about how long YouTube stores data, please refer to https://policies.google.com/privacy.

  • Google Analytics

The web analytics service Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies, tracking pixels and device fingerprinting to track specific user behaviour on websites. This involves processing information that is stored on users’ devices. Google uses the tracking pixels embedded in websites and the cookies stored on users’ devices to process the information generated about the use of our website by users’ devices, and access data, for the purpose of statistical analysis – e. g. the fact that a specific website has been accessed or the user registered for newsletters. For this purpose, it is also possible to determine whether different devices belong to you or to your household. Access data includes in particular the IP address, browser information, the website visited before and the date and time of the server request. Google Analytics is used with the “anonymizeIp()” extension. This shortens IP addresses before they are processed, in order to make it more difficult to identify individuals. According to Google, the IP addresses are shortened within member states of the European Union. Due to the use of the Google Analytics tool, the user’s browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. If a user is registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with the user’s account and create and evaluate user profiles across applications.

Recipient: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google, LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US

Third country transfer: When consenting to the use of Google Analytics, this also includes consenting to a possible transfer of data to the US. The US is classified by the European Court of Justice as a country without an adequate level of data protection and without appropriate safeguards according to EU standards. Using Google Analytics involves such data transfers to third countries. If you do not wish to consent to your data being transferred to a third country, then you must disable Google Analytics.

  • Facebook Pixel

To measure conversion rates, this website uses the visitor activity pixel of Facebook. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Facebook’s statement the collected data will be transferred to the USA and other third-party countries too.

This tool allows the tracking of page visitors after they have been linked to the website of the provider after clicking on a Facebook ad. This makes it possible to analyze the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising campaigns.

For us as the operators of this website, the collected data is anonymous. We are not in a position to arrive at any conclusions as to the identity of users. However, Facebook archives the information and processes it, so that it is possible to make a connection to the respective user profile and Facebook is in a position to use the data for its own promotional purposes in compliance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy. This enables Facebook to display ads on Facebook pages as well as in locations outside of Facebook. We as the operator of this website have no control over the use of such data.

The use of these services occurs on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG. You may revoke your consent at any time.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 DSGVO). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its forwarding to Facebook. The processing by Facebook that takes place after the onward transfer is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent on us jointly have been set out in a joint processing agreement. The wording of the agreement can be found under: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing the privacy information when using the Facebook tool and for the privacy-secure implementation of the tool on our website. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook products. You can assert data subject rights (e.g., requests for information) regarding data processed by Facebook directly with Facebook. If you assert the data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.
