Formerly a brewery, today an art center: the Wiels in Brussels. It was in 1862 that the Wielemans family founded their brewery on Rue de Terre-Neuve in the center of Brussels, which lasted until 1988. It was a small family brewery, but in 1879 it was time to move to the outskirts of Brussels, because dreams got bigger and the brewery grew. As early as 1885, the brewery began producing its first blond, fermented beers, which had to be constantly cooled. Years pass and in the difficult period of World War II the company creates a temporary beer, Wiel's, a Fluitjesbier (a very low-alcohol beer). Wiel's would become the most famous Wielemans-Ceuppens beer!
Prototype: Three-axle boxcar as a beer refrigerator car with a brakeman's cab. Private car painted and lettered for Wiel's Wielemans, used on the Belgian State Railways (SNCB). The car looks as it did in the mid-1950s. Model: The car has movable sliding doors, close coupling mechanisms, and spoked wheels. Length over the buffers 72 mm.
