Description
Prototype: Union Pacific Railroad (UP) Class 3900 "Challenger" heavy US freight steam locomotive with a coal tender. Locomotive road number 3969. It looks as it did in the 1950s.
Model: With a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 8 axles powered. Traction tires, smoke generator. Headlights change over with the direction of travel, number plates, and smoke generator work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting can be controlled digitally. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm white LEDs. Articulated chassis for cornering. Boxpok wheels. Minimum radius R2a (261.8 mm).

The image is a digital retouch. Operating instructions: The locomotive can be used on curved tracks with a radius of 261.8 mm or more, but we recommend larger radii. Due to the overhang of the long boiler, signals, overhead line masts, bridge railings, tunnel portals, and the like must be kept at a sufficient distance from the curve. The track must be securely fastened to support the locomotive's heavy weight. The turntable and transfer table can only be used in the through position.
