About the model

We are realizing these cars as a completely new design, built to scale in 1:160, in collaboration with Aare-Valley-Models.
First, the 2nd class center-entrance carriages will appear together with 1st class and 1st/2nd class carriages.
In the model implementation, differences in the various designs/car types and eras are faithfully reproduced; for example, different entrance doors, windows, roof design, etc.
The grab rails should, as far as possible, be made as separately inserted etched parts/wire bending parts.
The models are prepared for interior lighting.

Model details:

- Period-appropriate windows, with and without louvered vents
- Period-appropriate roof design, with and without roofing sheets
- Period-appropriate braking systems
- different types of entry doors
- separately inserted, delicate grab rails as etched parts/wire bending parts
- multicolored interiors
- Bellows: extended for operational use are mounted, retracted for replacement are included
- Prepared for interior lighting; low-friction current pickup via metal bushings in the axle bearings

more Info
For example:
Between 1937 and 1957, over 1100 examples of this "lightweight steel" design were put into service; in various versions such as 1st class, ½ class, 2nd class, dining/buffet car, baggage car, etc.
The carriages were initially used as intercity express trains on the east-west axis, but then quickly appeared in the rest of the country as well, including at the Gotthard and Lötschberg lines, mostly in express trains.
Some carriages were also equipped for international service with Germany, France, Italy, and Austria. Later, they were primarily used in regional trains. The last examples remained in service until the 1990s. After their service with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), some carriages were sold to Swiss private railways or abroad, particularly to Italy. A few examples have survived to this day with SBB Historic or private museum railways.
