Prototype: The rail bus was built by MAN between 1956 and 1969 and delivered to various private railways. It was available in one- and two-engine variants with MAN diesel engines from its own production. Depending on the version, the railbuses had 66-70 seats and an engine power of 150-200 hp. The vehicles were used individually or in double and triple traction. Some companies also used the model to pull freight cars. A total of 60 vehicles were built. Multiple changes of ownership resulted in a large number of color and paint variants. The area of application extended across the whole of Germany, currently there are still several rail buses in regular museum use.
The models have a 5-pole motor, white-red light change (individually switchable in digital operation), a Next18 digital interface, prototypical inscriptions, NEM coupler pockets and standard N couplers. The models appear in an edition of only 250 copies each. The LüP is 10.2 cm per vehicle.
