An overhead line rosette - also known as a house rosette, wall rosette, wall anchor, wall iron, overhead line hook or in Austria wall rosette - is a special form of contact wire suspension on trams and trolleybuses, and more rarely on railways. The rosettes, mostly made of cast iron, are used to anchor or brace the overhead line on the buildings of the streets through which they pass. They are always used when due to spatial (for example narrow streets) or aesthetic reasons no overhead line masts can be erected.
