The BM2 module is available for the demanding model railroader. It not only allows the train to stop at "Hp 0" before the signal, but also offers the installation of a slow-speed section for "Hp 2". The distance before the signal is divided into a driving section and a braking section. The length of the travel section must be such that the longest train running there fits completely into it. The length of the braking section depends (as with the BM1) on the set braking deceleration or the set braking distance.
Driving and braking sections are supplied by the corresponding outputs of the BM2. So that pushed trains can also be influenced with the BM2, the leading car of the pushed train must be provided with a power consumer (e.g. lighting of the car). The control car receives top and tail lights that change with the direction of travel. The BM2 also ensures that no braking is triggered when driving on the section in the opposite direction.
