Mercedes Benz O 307 intercity bus

The Mercedes-Benz O 307 was a 1970 built by Mercedes-Benz standard bus for interurban traffic. The O 307 was based on the O 305 city bus, but differed by the larger, laterally pulled around windscreens, the so-called "StÜLB front" and exterior swing doors. Another distinguishing feature of the O 305 was the increased vehicle length and elevated floor to allow for underfloor trunk space. The largest customers were the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the Deutsche Bundespost. The buses of the post office were taken after the cessation of bus operation in 1983 by the Federal Railway without changing the livery.
