Description
From 1952, the Opel Blitz, which had been built since 1930, received a new, contemporary look. The design closely resembled American pickup trucks of the time. Now designed for a payload of 1.75 tons, the vehicle was available as a panel van and a flatbed truck. In addition, special bodies such as turntable ladders, tow cranes, and beverage platforms were also offered. The vehicle, popularly known as the "Soft Blitz," was powered by a six-cylinder gasoline engine and boasted a respectable 58 hp.
