From 1964 onwards, the SBB also underwent a fundamental renewal of the rolling stock with an eye to international traffic. ÖBB also had these wagons built by Jenbachwerke under a license agreement in 1976 and used them on the Austrian rail network. SBB experimented with different green variants, which are also reproduced in the model. To match the passenger cars, sleeping cars, couchette cars and restaurant cars were also put into service and used on the cross-border routes to Austria, Italy and Germany.
