KATO offers an excellent N-gauge track system with a gray-flecked trackbed (fine grain) that is precisely scaled, extremely stable, and ideal for all N-gauge models. The trackbed is made of elastic plastic and is approximately 25 mm wide. The tracks are easily connected using plug-in connectors and lock into place with an audible "click." The metal rail shoes are supported by additional plastic connectors on the underside. This protects the rail shoes while ensuring a perfect, precise, and reliable connection.
