Description
The RAe TEE II is a dual-system electric multiple unit built for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and used exclusively in international service. It was introduced in the 1960s and operated as an international, all-first-class "TEE (TransEuropExpress)" between Zurich and Milan via the Gotthard line.

Later, the train sets were downgraded, rebuilt, and repainted for "EuroCity" service. After its retirement, the Rae TEE II was retained by the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways) as a historic vehicle. In 2003, one train was partially restored – with some features modernized – and returned to its original TEE appearance. It is still in service today as a special event train with SBB Historic.

The Kato model is a replica of the SBB Historic version with the classic red and cream TEE livery!

The model can be illuminated with the matching interior lighting (item nos. K11-213 and K11-214). The table lamps come with factory-installed lighting.
