Kato manufactured the E3-2000 series of N gauge Shinkansen bullet trains in the earlier livery seen through 2016. The earlier color scheme of metallic silver and gray body with green stripe was carried over to the E3-1000 series, released in 1999 appeared. The E3-2000 series, the main Yamagata Shinkansen train, wore this color scheme for about 8 years since its debut in 2008. When the train in the L63 configuration, which remained in this color scheme to the end, with its last run on the Being phased out on October 26, 1928, this color scheme, which had been popular for 17 years, disappeared.
