Diesel locomotive ÖBB BR2043.18 Ep.III / IV fir green

The series locomotives of the 2043 series were built in 1964 as lightweight universal locomotives for non-electrified routes in Austria. With an axle pressure of only 17 t, it was designed primarily for branch lines, but had to help out even in the absence of stronger types long in heavy mainline service. In total, the 77 locomotives of this series delivered to the ÖBB.
