Description
The ÖBB series 2043 is a four-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotive that was purchased in large numbers from the 1960s onwards and contributed significantly to the displacement of steam locomotives from the non-electrified ÖBB routes. It was used primarily on branch lines and pulled both freight and passenger trains.
