Description
Between 1918 and 1923, the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) procured over 1,000 open freight wagons of type L6. Initially used for transporting coal, they were also employed for other weather-resistant goods. The L6 wagons were built with wooden or steel sides, and with or without a brakeman's cab. Based on the L6 design, the SBB also acquired wagons with raised sideboards for transporting logs and scrap metal. 318 of these wagons, designated Fbkk, were built.
