Description
100 years of BLS
Based on the EW1 standard wagons with bellows and an ABDe4/8 driver's cab, six Bt control wagons were delivered to the BLS in 1963 by the Schweizerische Waggonfabrik Schlieren (SWS).
From 2005, four of these control cars were converted for the car transport trains. They received, among other things, a motorcycle compartment. After the conversion, the cars were registered with the BLS as BDt 946-949. Initially the control cars still had the blue/beige color scheme, but this gave way to umbra gray-green from 2007 onwards.
