F train set with four express train passenger cars for the F 38 "Hans Sachs" long-distance train of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
The set consists of three express train passenger cars, type UIC-X, type Aüm, and one dining car, type WR4ü-38.

From 1952, the Deutsche Bundesbahn put the express train coaches known as UIC-X coaches into service. These cars had a level of comfort that was previously unknown in Europe. The UIC-X wagons were immediately used for high-quality express trains. The existing F-train network (until 1956 with the then first and second carriage class, after that only the first) was converted to UIC carriages very quickly.
