Already at the time of the country railways (initially for the transport of the then 12 m long rails) so-called rail transport cars with 13 m loading length were procured. The cars were originally equipped with 12 side stanchions, low end walls and charging thresholds. Beginning of the 1970s, the last cars were retired or used as a train service car.

Prototype: The Royal Bavarian State Railways (K.Bay.Sts.B.) was founded 175 years ago.
