Description
Three-part electric ICE multiple unit train series 411 of Deutsche Bahn.

The set consists of a 1st class end car, type Apmzf 411.0, a dining car, type WRmz 411.2 and a 2nd class end car, type Bpmzf 411.5.

- Curve-dependent, automatic inclination of the car body
- Rigid close coupling with movable transitions between the carriages
- With function decoders for light change (white/red) for both analogue and digital operation

In 1994, Deutsche Bahn AG ordered tilting multiple units from a consortium of Bombardier, Deutscher Waggonbau, DUEWAG, Fiat and Siemens in order to be able to connect winding routes to the ICE network. The individual cars and components were manufactured in different factories. Due to the success of the concept, the order was increased again; the success of the multiple unit known as the ICE-T made it an important part of the long-distance fleet. It was important to the then young DB AG group to usher in a new era of long-distance transport with the new ICE-T and ICE 3 multiple units. The new and innovative design was intended to immediately make it clear to passengers that this was a completely new generation of vehicles, and the group had given the designers very few specifications at the time. It is therefore not surprising that the multiple units of the 411 and 415 series are still contemporary vehicles today and have already successfully undergone several redesigns. With a top speed of 230 km/h, they still meet the demands of the ICE network today and enjoy a high level of reliability.
