An attractive ambassador locomotive has been created to match the children's books "Tommie and Tess". Lovely motifs from the popular children's books decorate the sides of the locomotive and make it an absolute must for every collector!
About the 9902:
Locomotive 9902 was delivered to the Dutch State Railways in 1981 as 1616. When passenger and freight traffic were separated, the locomotive was assigned to the NS-Cargo freight transport division. NS-Cargo was later taken over by DB-Cargo. In 2020, the last locomotives of the 1600 series were parked at DB-Cargo. The last six existing locomotives were sold to RXP Tracte BV, an asset company of the Railexperts Group. With a small nod to the already existing ex Locon 9901, the 1616 was re-registered as 9902. The locomotive is used both for its own traffic and leased to other railway companies.
Railexperts is a provider of services in passenger and freight transport. They provide traction for special passenger trains, carry out locomotive and railcar transfers for third parties, and also provide last-mile services in freight transport. The service also includes approval test drives and a 24/7 control center that monitors traffic for various railway companies.
