Between 1988 and 1998, 234 dual-system electric locomotives of the BB 26000 series were delivered to the French National Railways. The machines, known by the artificial name "Sybic", are used throughout France to pull all types of trains. These multi-purpose locomotives reach a maximum speed of 200 km/h and are capable of delivering 5,600 kW of power.
