A sensible design also proved that speeds of 100 km/h can be achieved with a claw bearing drive. The hourly output of the E 94 was an impressive 3240 kW, and the starting power was even 3900 kW. The electric locomotives that remained after the war were disrespectfully called “iron pigs”.
