Close coupling via a guided Jakobs bogie between the vehicles. Dummy coupling at the ends of the vehicle. Adapters with a slot according to NEM 355 and PROFI couplings 9545 for multiple traction are included.

Prototype: The West Franconia 642 006 diesel railcar is currently the only Desiro that is on the road in an attractive “3-lion cycle” design. Westfrankenbahn has been operating as a medium-sized company under the roof of Deutsche Bahn since January 1, 2006. It provides 3.3 million train kilometers annually.
