In 2019, SBB Cargo International, in cooperation with SüdLeasing GmbH, ordered 20 Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility. The machines are equipped for use in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands (DACHINL).
To celebrate the opening of the office in the Netherlands, a machine was given a special design. The locomotive is called "Hollandpiercer" among railway enthusiasts.
