Diesel locomotive V 160.6 of the Havelland Railway.

For testing purposes, a few locomotives of the 110 series were fitted with a more powerful, now 1200 hp, diesel engine in 1972. This was necessary to enable the locomotives to be used in express train service. Other components were also modified on the test locomotives. Based on the positive test results, almost 500 locomotives were converted to the more powerful 112 series at the Reichsbahn repair works in Stendal. The locomotive 110 831, which entered service with the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1975, was rebuilt in 1988. After being withdrawn from service as 202 831 by Deutsche Bahn in 1998, the engine was rebuilt by Alstom in Stendal. In 2008, it became part of the Havelland Railway's fleet.
