Beschreibung
Diesel locomotive series 120 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn.

- Close coupling kinematics
- LED lighting
- Separate plug-in parts

Like hardly any other vehicle on German rails, the former DR series 120 (still known as the V 200 until 1970) embodied the typical features of Soviet locomotive construction.

Due to the lack of soundproofing at the beginning, it could be heard from afar and therefore known by nicknames like Taiga drum or Wumme. The supplier was the “October Revolution” locomotive works in Lugansk, which was one of the largest works in the Soviet Union with an “output” of over 1000 locomotives per year.

Additional model information:
Built in 1968 by the "October Revolution" locomotive factory in Voroshilovo, factory no. 0464, USSR
Acceptance: October 17th, 1968 as V 200 127
First Bw Cottbus (as replacement for BR 42)
06/01/1970: New number 120 127-6
05.10.1992: Retired from the Gera depot
Model represents condition in the 1970s.
