Between 1910 and 1916, a total of 512 T 13 locomotives were built for the Prussian State Railways by various manufacturers. Due to numerous losses after World War I, the German Reichsbahn (DRG) ordered a further 72 locomotives, and the Saar Railways ordered 12. The Imperial Railways in Alsace-Lorraine also had 60 T 13 locomotives in their fleet. The Grand Duchy of Oldenburg State Railways owned ten locomotives of this type. In 1925, the German Reichsbahn incorporated the T 13 into its numbering system as Class 92.5–10, with operating numbers 92 501–913 and 92 1001–1072.
