The locomotives of the class 52 of the former German Reichsbahn are the most famous of the so-called war locomotives. They were built in 1942 in more than 7,000 units, were planned 15,000 machines. After the war, another 300 pieces were made from existing parts. Even after 1945, the locomotives in many parts of Europe were indispensable in the reconstruction for a long time.
