Kit sheet metal for freight cars

Sheet metal patches were an elementary component of repairs to vehicles, especially in open freight wagons. Especially the older cars with board construction were not spared in the operation of the post-war period and had to be repaired at short notice. The Wagenmeistereien held for pieces of metal in various and later standardized sizes, which were then screwed to the side walls if necessary. In the relevant literature, many role model photos testify to how the patches give the car an individual appearance. On other occasions, the sheets were used everywhere in the field of railway.
