Very detailed model of a boat lift, inspired by the lift in Henrichenburg. Among other things, the original has five floats, we have scaled down the model and only reproduced three floats.
The Henrichenburg ship lift was the most spectacular structure on the Dortmund-Ems Canal (DEK) at the time and the first multi-float ship lift in the world. It had become necessary at the end of the 19th century to connect the Dortmund port to the emerging West German canal network. The ceremonial commissioning of the lift took place with the opening of the canal on August 11, 1899 in the presence of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Together with the old shaft lock from 1914, it survived two world wars and was taken out of service in 1969 after more than 60 years of almost trouble-free operation. Today it forms the center and the LWL Industrial Museum in the Waltrop Lock Park, which also includes the no longer in use new lift from 1962 and the large shipping lock from 1989. (Source Wikipedia)
The model can be built with over 750 gussets in great detail, making it an eye-catcher on your layout.
Experience in model making is necessary to build this model.
The minimum materials you need are superglue, laser cut glue and a sharp scalpel or hobby knife.
The assembly instructions comprise 20 pages - separate instructions for processing the gusset plates.
Minimum installation depth is 50mm.
In total, this kit contains over 330 laser-cut parts, as well as 100 3D printed parts and metal parts (pipes). Some of the parts still need to be painted. Kit for experienced model makers

The WD8K switch decoder is a reliable, inexpensive and easy-to-use DCC digital decoder for Kato Unitrack switches. The decoder is conveniently addressed at the touch of a button.
