The Modellbahn Union Spur N models of the railbus are based on the well-known model from Brekina. Compared to the Brekina model, the Modellbahn Union models have been adapted to the current state of the art and optimized with the current possibilities. The models received the current Next18 interface, loudspeakers and a new drive with a new, smooth-running high-performance motor. The models are analog, DCC/SX Digital with and without sound available. We install an ESU LokSound 5 decoder with impressive original driving sounds in the sound models. In connection with the decoder, the large hidden speaker produces an impressive sound for N gauge models. To optimize the digital driving characteristics and the sound functions, a buffer memory with a capacitor capacity of 400 µF is installed in the sound version of the model. The model is the MAN version with two engines. The sound version of the model is of course equipped with the correct twin-engine ESU sound.

Prototype: The rail bus was built by MAN between 1956 and 1969 and delivered to various private railways. It was available in one- and two-engine versions with MAN diesel engines from its own production. Depending on the version, the railbuses had 66-70 seats and an engine power of 150-200 hp. The vehicles were used individually or in double and triple traction. Some companies also used the model to pull freight cars. A total of 60 vehicles were built. Multiple changes of ownership resulted in a large number of color and paint variants. The area of application extended across Germany, currently there are still several rail buses in regular museum use.

The models have a 5-pole motor, white-red light change (individually switchable in digital operation), a Next18 digital interface, prototypical inscriptions, NEM coupler pockets and standard N couplers. The models appear in an edition of only 250 copies each. The LüP is 10.2 cm per vehicle.

The lack of freight train luggage wagons at the DB in the mid-1950s led to the development of the Pwghs 54 based on the Gms 54. This avoided the expense of a completely new design and the wagons could simply be converted into normal G wagons. The Pwghs 54 corresponded to the Gms 54, but did not have its loading and ventilation gaps. Instead, the car was equipped with a driver's compartment and toilet as well as a front door that was accessible via the brakeman's platform. 1200 examples were built. Some of the Pwghs 54 were used for express freight after they were put into service, recognizable by the large E on the sides of the car. Other cars were used on branch lines and on the car train to Sylt. From 1970 onwards, over 700 Pwghs 54s that were no longer required were converted to Gls 205s, and the progressive use of diesel and electric locomotives made the use of escort cars for the staff superfluous. Up to the end of the 1990s, however, cars were still used by the DB on branch lines and as escort cars for LÜ shipments, and other cars have survived in private companies as workshop and escort cars, some of which have survived to this day.

In order to use freight wagons in traffic to Great Britain wagons were needed that corresponded to the smaller british loading gauge, and in addition where capable of working with the UK braking system.

The DB therefore acquired the new Gbtmks 66 (later Tcefs 845) in 1964. The wagons were built by company Gebr. Credé in Kassel. The wagons were usable for through ferry traffic and therefore avoided extensive re-loading at the ferry ports. The wagons had a length of 12,5m with a loading with of only 2,3m. Back in 1964 the wagons where already lettered corresponding to the rules of the upcoming Epoch IV.

The wagons proved to be successful in service and were used up into Epoch V. Because of the international service the wagons showed a prominent, multilingual lettering. Two wagons are on exhibit today in the Bochum Dahlhausen railway museum.

The Modellbahn Union N gauge models of the Tcefs 845 wagons in scale 1:160 features numerous details and printing, the side doors can be opened. Different lettering and colours based on time of usage are also being realised. All models feature close coupling mechanism and NEM coupler pockets. Standard N couplers in two different lengths are included. The models are equipped with finescale-wheelsets, standard wheelsets are optional available under the item number MU_N-X00001. The length over buffer is 78 mm per wagon.

The Tatra trams, built by the Czech manufacturer CKD in Prague since the 1960s, are based on a license from the American PCC cars from the 1930s. However, the T3 series model was too wide for the networks in the former GDR. This resulted in a narrower version as “T4” and the addition “D” for Dresden. Originally only Tatra railcars with drives and pantographs were produced in Prague. Because of the poor power supply at the time, the required three-car units could not be formed. Until 1971, a sidecar without a drive was designed especially for the GDR, which was coupled with one or two railcars under the name “B4”. By 1984, Dresden had received a total of 572 Tatra “T4D” railcars and 250 “B4D” sidecars. Another 1986 cars went to Leipzig, Halle and Magdeburg. After the fall of the Wall, part of the Dresden Tatra fleet was modernized and painted in the Dresden city colors of yellow and black. With the arrival of modern low-floor railways in Dresden, the Tatras were gradually phased out from the mid-1990s. Some were sold to North Korea, Romania and former Soviet states, and worn-out vehicles were scrapped. Redesigned several times, the yellow Dresden Tatra cars were still in service sporadically until spring 2023. On May 31st, the last three Tatras made their way from passenger service to the tram museum. The present model in the original red color was delivered to Dresden in 1967 and has been in the Dresden Tram Museum's inventory since 2002 in the combination of railcar No. 1998 and sidecar No. 105-7, fully operational.

Information about the prototype:
The standard type program for electric locomotives established by the DB in 1954 provided for the E 10 series for use in express and express train services. The 150 km / h series machines should be able to carry express trains weighing 500 t on a 5 ‰ gradient at 140 km / h. In October 1954, the DB ordered the first of the class E 10.1 machines, Krauss-Maffei (mechanical part) and SSW (electrical part) were responsible for the design, and Henschel, Krupp, AEG and BBC were also involved in the construction. On December 4, 1956, the DB received the first series-production machine with the E 10 101, followed by another 286 machines by 1963 (E 10 101-264; E 10 271-287). From October 1962, the DB put the E 10 1265-1270 locomotives, which can reach 160 km / h, thanks to a gearbox change, into service to transport the “Rheingold” parade train. The aerodynamic box with the characteristic "crease" on the front sides, which was used for the first time in these vehicles, was given to all series E 10s from 1963 onwards. The machines were mainly used for car trains and for transferring wagons from DB Fernverkehr or DB Regio between deployment points (PbZ). Most of the BR 115 are no longer in service.
