Electric locomotive Re 620 051-3 (Dornach-Arlesheim) of the SBB Cargo with air conditioning for the Ep.V-VI
The six-axle locomotives of the Re 6/6 series, currently known as the RE 620, have been used by the SBB in passenger and freight train service for years. The locomotives have now been modified, which is evident from the side flap for new air conditioning systems, among other things. The SBB Cargo locomotives have the typical Cargo design.
Model Features:
- new pantographs
-side flaps for air conditioning
-Grab bars on the front
-5-pole motor with two flywheels
-Current consumption over 4 axes
-Lighting changes with the direction of travel
- Locomotive without interface, but as always with Doehler & Haass decoder also digitally available.
The Re 6/6 locomotives (Re620) used by SBB Cargo in domestic traffic have reached an average age of almost 40 years. The robust locomotives are of good substance and represent the backbone of the SBB Cargo fleet. Since the RE 620, with its high performance and six drive axles, remains indispensable on the difficult routes in Switzerland and cannot be replaced by any other locomotive of equal value, the locomotives will continue to be used overhauled and modernized to keep them up to date for years to come. In addition to visual features such as the air conditioning systems for the cabins that were added a few years ago, the vehicles will now be equipped with ETCS. ProLok will cost around CHF 1.58 million for the entire modernization.
