Electric locomotive 193 759 of the Dutch State Railways.
- ELL-Vectron leased to the NS
- With long gutter
- Use in international traffic
- In digital mode with switchable high beam and individually switchable headlights or taillights
The Dutch state railway has leased two Vectron multi-system locomotives from European Locomotive Leasing (ELL) for Nightjet traffic from Amsterdam to Vienna (and back). These powerful locomotives can travel up to 200 km/h in international passenger traffic. This means that the Dutch capital is again connected to the European night train network. The trains are operated in cooperation with NS, DB and ÖBB. This will provide travelers with a comfortable and cost-effective alternative to air travel on these routes in the future.

The role model
In the early 1940s, the DRG procured a total of 16 two-car multiple units for suburban traffic in the port city of Szczecin. They were built by the WUMAG company in Görlitz and received the company numbers VT 137 331 to 367 and VT 137 367 to 376. In the "Stettin" type railcars, four different diesel engines with the same output and the same prescribed installation dimensions were manufactured by Daimler-Benz , Deutz, MAN and DWK tested. However, the Stettiners were no longer used before the Second World War. They were parked at various RBD Stettin stations only as a reserve for the Wehrmacht. After the end of the war, nine remained with the DR, four with the later DB and one initially with the CSD. The DB put three vehicles back into service and redesignated them as VT45s in the late 1940s. They were retired in the late 1960s.

Prototype: German Railroad, Inc. (DB AG) electric locomotive 115 205-7 (class E10.1). Wheel arrangement Bo´Bo´. Year of construction from 1956. Use: Long-distance transport.
Model: Housing and bracket made of die-cast zinc. Digital interface. Motor with flywheel, 4 axles powered, traction tires. Headlights and taillights that change with the direction of travel, with warm white light-emitting diodes, driver's cab lighting, can be controlled digitally. Kinematics for close coupling. Attached handle bars. Length over the buffers 103 mm.
One-time series.
Information about the prototype:
The standard type program for electric locomotives established by the DB in 1954 provided for the E 10 series for use in express and express train services. The 150 km / h series machines should be able to carry express trains weighing 500 t on a 5 ‰ gradient at 140 km / h. In October 1954, the DB ordered the first of the class E 10.1 machines, Krauss-Maffei (mechanical part) and SSW (electrical part) were responsible for the design, and Henschel, Krupp, AEG and BBC were also involved in the construction. On December 4, 1956, the DB received the first series-production machine with the E 10 101, followed by another 286 machines by 1963 (E 10 101-264; E 10 271-287). From October 1962, the DB put the E 10 1265-1270 locomotives, which can reach 160 km / h, thanks to a gearbox change, into service to transport the “Rheingold” parade train. The aerodynamic box with the characteristic "crease" on the front sides, which was used for the first time in these vehicles, was given to all series E 10s from 1963 onwards. The machines were mainly used for car trains and for transferring wagons from DB Fernverkehr or DB Regio between deployment points (PbZ). Most of the BR 115 are no longer in service.

Trans-European articulated lorry in 160-fold miniaturization
In 1963, the tiered Transeuropa driver's cab was the visual signal for the new generation of forward control vehicles from Magirus-Deutz. After the IAA, the long-distance truck from Ulm heralded the dawn of a new era for Magirus. The flatbed semi-trailer in 160-fold miniaturization thus stands for the logistics initiative of that time for high-performance truck combinations.
Year of manufacture original manufacturer 1963-71
