The special sponge conducts electrical current, thus cleaning the rotating wheels of locomotives particularly gently. The two cables can be connected to the track system or a transformer. This function is therefore guaranteed for both analog and digital locomotives. The locomotive in the picture is not included.
The Tsugawa Wheel Cleaner is distinguished by its conductive sponge, which polishes rather than scratches locomotive wheels. Traction tires will not be damaged if used properly.
The special sponge conducts electrical current, thus cleaning the rotating wheels of locomotives particularly gently. The two cables can be connected to the track system or a transformer. This ensures functionality for both analog and digital locomotives. Its use is incredibly simple: Connect the crocodile clips to the track and place the locomotive on the wheel cleaner. The speed can be controlled via the transformer. The locomotive should be held on the wheel cleaner with light pressure.

The PIKO models of the railcar and the control car embody, like their DB prototypes, functionally reliable constructions. The railcar model is powered by a micromotor, which is equipped with two precisely dimensioned flywheel masses to ensure perfect running characteristics. The drive acts on both axles of the railcar. Since the railcar and control car can be coupled to each other via a current-conducting short coupling kinematics, two additional (and thus four) axles can be used for safe power pickup when using control cars. The railcar has a digital interface PluX16 according to NEM 658. The lighting functions of both vehicles can be switched separately. A clear view is possible through the passenger compartments of railcars and control cars. The railcar can also be used prototypically as a railcar for transporting individual freight cars.

PIKO supplies a model of the Ae 3 / 6I, which meets all the requirements for the precise redesign of the locomotive with its Buchli drives and filigree roof equipment. Pantographs and roof conductors are made of metal. Behind the Buchli drives as well as on the non-driven side of the axles, fine spoke wheels contribute to an authentic overall impression. Lamps, ladders and handle bars were set individually. The engine, which has a flywheel, drives three axles and ensures excellent running characteristics down to minimum radii of just 192 mm. The model was equipped with a PluX interface.

The model of this important vehicle type not only closes a gap in PIKO's N range, but will also enrich many model railway layouts from epochs III to V with numerous variants. The development team has implemented the striking shape of the original in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. 2-car Spanish regional train TRD 594
Motor cars and control cars must each be equipped with a Next18 decoder for digital operation.
The 594 series by Renfe or TRD (Tren Regional Diesel) is a range of diesel trains specifically designed for regional service. This series was put into operation at the end of the 1990s and improved regional traffic on non-electrified railway lines with a top speed of 160 km/h and much more modern equipment than the old 592 and 593 series, as well as their successors of the old 597 series, which have been in service since was retired in 1995 and which is very similar in terms of number of cars and seats
The 594 series is based on the Danish IC3 train, developed by ABB Scandia, a company later acquired by Adtranz. IC3 trains operate in Denmark (since 1990), Israel and Sweden. The main difference from these is that the originals are built as Motor-Trailer-Motor (MRM) and are articulated (they share the bogie at the crossing of the cars).
The Spanish version was made in Spain under license from CAF. Its main feature is its pneumatic front, which allows easy coupling of the trains. The cab is foldable, allowing full communication between the coupled trains as if they were one unit. In contrast to earlier regional trains, the seats are fixed halfway in each direction.

The following steps will yield a perfect result:
• Apply FALLER Colofix (art. 180501) to the area you wish to cover with grass.
• Fill the grass-fix device with scatter fibre, in solid or blended colours.
• Insert a small nail in the arrangement near the area to be covered and secure the counterpole to it using the rail contact clamp.
• Switch on the device, hold about 30-50 mm above the area to be covered in grass and shake lightly.
• Using this method the fibre will stand neatly and upright in the glue bedding.

Track cleaning has never been easier! The ingenious invention for cleaning model railway tracks are the cleaning gnomes in N gauge (scale 1: 160).
