Doehler & Haass
A new Doehler & Haass decoder developed exclusively for Modellbahn Union / DM-Toys, adapted to the needs of N-gauge model railroaders. As with all comparable Doehler & Haass decoders, the driving characteristics of this decoder are at an excellent level. Two small capacitors are installed on the decoder for driving without data loss. Both the software and the chip itself correspond to the same modern technology as the latest decoders from Doehler & Haass. The decoder, produced in Germany, can be used for both normal DC motors and coreless motors. Switching from analogue to digital operation takes place automatically.
Due to our direct sales and exclusive production, we can offer this decoder in cooperation with Doehler and Haass at a very attractive price.
The vehicle decoders support braking with asymmetrical digital voltage (four diodes in series and one diode anti-parallel, Lenz ABC), slow travel (with suitable braking modules) and bidirectional communication (locomotive address feedback in DCC operation, RailCom®).
Dimensions: 8.5 x 11.7 x 1.8mm
Total load capacity: 1.0 A
Maximum Motor Current: 1.0A
Maximum driving voltage: 30 V
Light function outputs: LV, LR (dimmable): 150 mA each
Function outputs: AUX1, AUX2 (dimmable): 300 mA each
functions
• For operation with conventional DC traction device, digital systems according to the NMRA standard (DCC)
• Switching between analogue and digital operation is automatic
• Short addresses (1-127), long addresses (0001-9999), with 14, 28, 126 speed steps
• Latest generation load control, resulting in particularly smooth control behavior
• Various control variants for optimum adaptation to the engine
• Internally 127 speed steps
• Adjustable motor frequency (low frequency, 16 kHz, 32 kHz)
• Block section operation with simple diodes in digital operation
• Light and function outputs (partially) dimmable and can be activated analogously
• Shunting gear
• Motor, light and track connections can be exchanged electronically
• All function outputs freely programmable
• Temperature protection
• Reset function for DCC
• The decoder can be updated
• Timer for switching off AUX1 and AUX2
The update (the firmware download from the Internet is free) is possible when the decoder is installed on the track (the vehicle does not need to be opened) and is carried out either via the FCC digital center or the programmer. If no appropriate hardware is available, Doehler & Haass will provide a programmer on request.

Rail freight transport on every Rhaetian railway line is an integral part of the lives of the citizens who transport food, drink and mail in the rugged mountain regions of the Swiss Alps. These include the COOP refrigerated container, which is popular for its various design variants, and the container of the Swiss Post, a state-owned Swiss Post company, symbolic Swiss figures for the lives of the citizens. You can see how it is transported daily.
In the summer of 2022, KATO will be launching numerous RhB freight and refrigerated wagons from the companies Coop and Swiss Post in various versions, thus expanding its large Rhaetian Railway range with additional freight wagons. KATO item no. 10-1731, Still number: 7074102
