New for 2022: Variant of the DB class 216 in beige-blue livery. In the 1960s and 1970s, the class V 160 or 216 was the express train locomotive on the German Federal Railroad for routes without contact wire. The model of this important vehicle type not only closes a gap in PIKO's N range, but will also enrich many model railway layouts from epochs III to V with numerous variants. The development team has implemented the striking shape of the original in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paint finish that is harmonious down to the smallest detail. Modern LED technology serves as the basis for the light change between red and white. In the sound variant, the model of the BR 216 has a suitable Next18 sound decoder ex works.

New for 2022: Print variant of the 2nd class passenger car of the DB AG in mint green livery of Era V. A family of commuter cars of the Deutsche Bundesbahn is referred to as a Silberling among railway fans. The vehicles owe their name “Silverlings” to their stainless steel body. Over 5000 examples were built between 1961 and 1980 and could be found at DB Regio until the beginning of 2020. The cars are also often referred to as n-cars after their sub-generic sign. With the n-car, PIKO has included a type of vehicle in its range that should not be missing from practically any model railway, the subject of which is located at the Federal Railways or the DB AG. As with the original, the models also differ depending on the car class in terms of window layout and interior design, the gauges have been converted to size N in a prototypical manner. Mold making at the highest level ensures extremely three-dimensional looking bogies and the high-quality paintwork and printing you are used to from PIKO gives the vehicles an excellent finish. The vehicles are prepared for the uncomplicated retrofitting of interior lighting.

Steam locomotive series 62 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
- Operating condition: Era IIIa
- Wagner smoke deflectors
The class 62 was developed and delivered by the Henschel company for the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft in the 1920s. The machines were two-cylinder superheated steam locomotives. A total of 15 copies were made. Although the locomotives were already built in 1928, the Deutsche Reichsbahn did not accept 62 003 - 015 until 1932. The reasons for this were the low demand and the high price for the locomotives.
After the Second World War, seven locomotives remained with the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The BR 62 was decommissioned by 1956.

Electric locomotive class 103.0 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
- Pre-production version
- With switchable engine room lighting
- In digital operation with individually switchable headlights or taillights
- Sound functions
- Z21 cab available
In 1961, the DB commissioned German electrical and locomotive construction companies to submit suitable designs for a six-axle locomotive with at least 5,000 kW of power - capable of a top speed of 200 km/h. In February 1965 the first of four pre-series machines was delivered. However, Germany's new parade horses could not be used to their full extent in plan service because of the speed regulations at the time. With the commissioning of the series machines BR 103.1 in 1970, the advance locomotives increasingly lost their planned performance, but were still available for test drives with new cars.

The 26.4 m local traffic cars with stainless steel car bodies, which were formerly known as "Silberlings" in the vernacular, are hidden behind the traffic red paintwork of the Deutsche Bahn. At the beginning of the 1990s, these n-cars were modernized (in New German: subjected to a redesign) because they had reached around half their useful life and there was no money available for new vehicles. As part of an extended general inspection, these vehicles should be made more attractive for passengers. The design features were: better seats, luggage racks and waste bins, closed toilet systems, new materials and colors and, if required, a multi-purpose room with folding seats and space for prams, wheelchairs, bicycles, etc. A wide variety of design variants were tried out, which was particularly the case with the Interior design led to a significant increase in the variety of types. In line with the "corporate identity" of the time, the cars were given a mint-turquoise-pastel-turquoise-light-grey coat of paint, which initially earned them the nickname "Greenlings". From 1996 there was once again a new color concept. The modernized "silverlings" were now painted traffic red with light gray doors and decorative stripes. Later, older modernizations were gradually adapted to the new color concept and thus also mutated into "Rotlingen". Due to regionalization and the associated procurement of a large number of new railcars, the n-cars of the DB AG are now largely history and can only be found with special or booster services. One of these special services are still the so-called bike express trains, especially in Baden-Württemberg, because the combination of train and bike has been enjoying increasing popularity for years, especially in day tourism. A special feature of all Radexpress trains is the use of vehicles with extra large bicycle capacity, such as converted luggage trolleys as bicycle transport trolleys with space for around 100 bicycles. In this way, the most beautiful areas of Baden-Württemberg can be experienced in an environmentally friendly way, with the big advantage: In contrast to arriving by car, you do not have to return to the starting point after the bike tour, but can be driven home from any other train station .

Double-decker trains have successfully formed the backbone of regional transport for many years. Double-decker trains are the ideal solution, particularly on routes with short platforms and high passenger numbers. The tried-and-tested single-car concept of the TWINDEXX Vario double-decker fleet is now being supplemented by an electric multiple unit. Bombardier Transportation will deliver 16 Bombardier TWINDEXX Vario multiple units with regional train equipment to Deutsche Bahn AG. The new four-car multiple units of the Do 2010 generation each consist of 2 railcars and 2 intermediate cars. With the newly developed powered TWINDEXX Vario railcar, the trains can now also be used purely as double-decker multiple units. This means that, in addition to classic push-pull operation with an electric or diesel locomotive, it can also be used as an electric multiple unit. Depending on the application and the desired capacity, this railcar can be combined with an intermediate car and a control car. The central buffer coupling enables operation in double traction and thus the implementation of a wing concept. The trains with a combined high and low entry are comfortably equipped with generous seat spacing and plenty of storage space. The double-deck single wagons also allow the lengthening and shortening of the train set and thus an adjustment to fluctuating demand or future developments. They can therefore be used for a wide variety of operational applications in regional and long-distance traffic. Company number: 50 80 36-81 173-7
- Exactly on a scale of 1:160
- Illuminated passenger compartment
- Structure made of high-quality, impact-resistant plastic
- Metal base plate
- Lighting with white LEDs
- Illuminated train destination displays (analogue permanently switched on, digitally switchable)
- High beam (can only be used digitally with a decoder, digitally switchable with low beam)
- Front faithfully reproduced
- Complete interior design
- Short coupling recording according to NEM

2-car Spanish regional train TRD 594
Motor cars and control cars must each be equipped with a Next18 decoder for digital operation.
The 594 series by Renfe or TRD (Tren Regional Diesel) is a range of diesel trains specifically designed for regional service. This series was put into operation at the end of the 1990s and improved regional traffic on non-electrified railway lines with a top speed of 160 km/h and much more modern equipment than the old 592 and 593 series, as well as their successors of the old 597 series, which have been in service since was retired in 1995 and which is very similar in terms of number of cars and seats
The 594 series is based on the Danish IC3 train, developed by ABB Scandia, a company later acquired by Adtranz. IC3 trains operate in Denmark (since 1990), Israel and Sweden. The main difference from these is that the originals are built as Motor-Trailer-Motor (MRM) and are articulated (they share the bogie at the crossing of the cars).
The Spanish version was made in Spain under license from CAF. Its main feature is its pneumatic front, which allows easy coupling of the trains. The cab is foldable, allowing full communication between the coupled trains as if they were one unit. In contrast to earlier regional trains, the seats are fixed halfway in each direction.

Nature takes it back!
Finished model made of NOCH hard foam, hand-colored and refined!
Abandoned towns or villages fascinate us in particular. Because nowhere else than in a so-called ghost town do we realize that this place used to be hectic and busy, but nothing of that has remained today. Abandoned villages are eerily beautiful! And even our well could not withstand the involuntary renaturalization. Trees, bushes and many other plants proliferate, twine and grow where people once watched the water feature to relax.
Nature always fascinates us. Especially when she takes back places that we humans have claimed for ourselves. So-called "Lost Places" have long since become an attraction. In these places we are left gaping in amazement, realizing only too well how short our existence on the planet is. We are fascinated by this showdown between man and nature, and deep down inside we know that nature always wins in the end and will outlive us humans too.
The NOCH hard foam model "Fountain" is lovingly hand-colored, decorated with fine details and then finished with a super-realistic, hand-made tree. The models designed in this way are highlights for every model landscape and attract everyone's attention.
