Modellbahn Union
Company number: 808
The Modellbahn Union N gauge models of the rail bus are based on the well-known Brekina model. Compared to the Brekina model, the Modellbahn Union models have been adapted to the current state of the art and optimized with the current possibilities. The models received the current Next18 interface, loudspeakers and a new drive with a new, smooth-running high-performance motor. The models are analog, DCC / SX digital with and without sound. We install an ESU LokSound 5 decoder with impressive original driving noises in the sound models. The large, hidden loudspeaker, in conjunction with the decoder, produces an impressive sound for N-gauge models. To optimize the digital driving characteristics and the sound functions, a buffer memory with a capacitor capacity of 400µF is built into the sound version of the model. The model is the version of the MAN with two engines. The sound version of the model is of course equipped with the correct twin-engine ESU sound.
Prototype: The rail bus was built by MAN between 1956 and 1969 and delivered to various private railways. It was available in single and twin-engine versions with MAN diesel engines from our own production. Depending on the version, the rail buses had 66-70 seats and an engine output of 150-200 hp. The vehicles were used individually or in double and triple traction. Some companies also used the model to pull freight cars. A total of 60 vehicles were built. Multiple changes of ownership resulted in a large number of color and paint variants. The area of operation extended over the whole of Germany, currently there are still several rail buses in regular museum use.
The models have a 5-pole motor, white-red light change (individually switchable in digital mode), a Next18 digital interface, prototypical addresses, NEM coupler pockets and standard N couplers. The models appear in an edition of only 250 copies each. The LüP is 10.2 cm per vehicle.

Form novelty in epoch IV. The constructionally caused, filigree arrangement of the main assemblies of a E-Lok-Oldtimers naturally places high demands on a model replica in the size N. The precise Nachgestaltung of the Buchliantriebs, the filigrane spoke wheels, individually attached lamps, ladders, stairs and a fine roof equipment make the Ae 3/6 an eye-catcher. The engine, which has a flywheel, drives three axles and ensures excellent running characteristics down to minimum radii of just 192 mm. The model was equipped with a PluX interface.

- Prototypical light and sound functions can be switched using the onboard decoder
- In digital mode with switchable high beam

The Škoda 100 (Š100 for short) and the more powerful variant Škoda 110 (Š110 for short) are passenger cars from AZNP (Škoda), which replaced the Škoda 1000 MB/1100 MB model from 1969. The main innovation was the dual-circuit brake system with disc brakes at the front, and there were also changes to the external appearance.
Model history: The vehicle was presented in 1969 as the "Škoda 1000 MB model 1970",[1] in the series it was then given the designation "Škoda 100". In fact, the Š100 is less a new car than a facelift of the previous model. The body was redesigned in the front and rear areas, there was a constructive change only in the arrangement of the spare wheel. The engine and chassis of the Š100 also largely correspond to those of the previous model. Significant improvements were Dunlop disc brakes at the front, a dual-circuit brake system and self-lubricating plain bearings, among other things in the front wheel guide. The interior was also extensively revised. Right from the start, in addition to the Š100, the luxury version L (“Luxe”) and the Š110 L with the slightly larger engine known from the 1100 MB were also available. The L versions had richer equipment and more chrome trimmings on the body.
Looking back, Škoda switched to the rear-engine concept at a bad time. Only a few years after the appearance of the forerunner 1000 MB, the trend in automobile construction was away from the rear engine, so that at the end of the 1960s a complete conversion of the vehicle concept would have been necessary. The government at the time rejected this. In 1964, a new factory was built especially for the 1000 MB, and extensive investments would have had to be made again for a new vehicle with a front engine. This seemed uneconomical to the government. In addition, the old Octavia assembly plant burned down shortly before the end of production, the damage was estimated at 320 million crowns.
During the production of the 100/110 there were several changes, mostly affecting the exterior. In 1972, the tank filler necks on the front fenders, familiar from the 1000 MB, were replaced by a simple tank flap. Kits of parts were exported to New Zealand and assembled there. Like the Škoda 110 R, the 110 LS had four headlights. With the most powerful engine, it reached a speed of 140 km/h. According to the state price list, the basic Standard version cost 45,000 crowns in 1972. The millionth Škoda since the opening of new production lines at the main plant in Mladá Boleslav was presented at the International Engineering Fair in Brno in 1973.
The successor to these models from 1976 was the Škoda 105/120 series.

AUX1, AUX2 (dimmable) 300 mA each
AUX3, AUX4 unamplified
with SUSI interface (if AUX3/AUX4 deactivated)
The update (the firmware download from the Internet is free) is possible when the decoder is installed on the track (the vehicle does not need to be opened) and is carried out either via the FCC digital center or the programmer. If no appropriate hardware is available, Doehler & Haass will provide a programmer on request.
The DH05C micro locomotive decoder supports braking with asymmetrical digital voltage (four diodes in series and one diode anti-parallel, Lenz ABC), slow travel (with suitable brake modules) and bidirectional communication (locomotive address feedback in DCC operation, RailCom®).
A connected SUSI sound module must be removed for SX1 programming. It is sufficient to interrupt the supply voltage (red wire) for the time of the SX1 programming. This does not affect the SX2 or DCC programming. The software, firmware and sound data can be downloaded from the Doehler & Haass website .

Doehler & Haass
A new Doehler & Haass decoder developed exclusively for Modellbahn Union / DM-Toys, adapted to the needs of N-gauge model railroaders. As with all comparable Doehler & Haass decoders, the driving characteristics of this decoder are at an excellent level. Two small capacitors are installed on the decoder for driving without data loss. Both the software and the chip itself correspond to the same modern technology as the latest decoders from Doehler & Haass. The decoder, produced in Germany, can be used for both normal DC motors and coreless motors. Switching from analogue to digital operation takes place automatically.
Due to our direct sales and exclusive production, we can offer this decoder in cooperation with Doehler and Haass at a very attractive price.
The vehicle decoders support braking with asymmetrical digital voltage (four diodes in series and one diode anti-parallel, Lenz ABC), slow travel (with suitable braking modules) and bidirectional communication (locomotive address feedback in DCC operation, RailCom®).
Dimensions: 8.5 x 11.7 x 1.8mm
