Steam locomotive class 50 of the DB (Deutschen Bundesbahn), epoch III.
Special: with cabin tender In true to the original livery and lettering. In-plane applied windows. Furnished driver's cab. Unobstructed view between boiler and chassis true to the original. Fully moveable Heusinger control. Brake shoes between the wheels. Metal die-cast chassis. Motor with flywheel. Drive on 8 wheels in the tender, four of them have traction tyres. Triple headlights on both ends of the locomotive. Locomotive-tender-close coupling. Automatic couplers on both ends of the locomotive. The variants of the Class 50 seem to be countless. The variant with four domes, running metal boards and skirt, Witte smoke deflectors and cab tender is particularly interesting. Typical for the epoch III locomotive is the partially aluminum-coloured lettering with DB-emblem.Until 1962, almost 800 Swiss tenders of the Class 50 (050) were fitted with a driver‘s cab to save cabooses. The cabin was placed in the middle of the tender, so the water box was extended to the rear beyond the buffer beams. Locomotive has no NEM plug, but we offer this loco also with decoder for DCC or Selectrix. We solder in the decoder manually. Of course 2 years warranty on loco and decoder are included. |

Building and driving with model trains of size N has many advantages. Often, the significantly smaller space requirement is cited compared to other nominal sizes. But what is much more decisive is the fact that large and small series manufacturers are striving for very excellent rolling stock for the 1: 160 scale. This applies to vehicles from all eras. The variety and quality of the accessories is also impressive. And as far as the controls are concerned, the model railroader has all options - regardless of whether he wants to drive analog or digital. Of course, setting up your own system is the most desirable goal for most railroaders. This volume shows many tips on the way there. The spectrum ranges from the construction of the frame to the installation of an optically beautiful and prototypical contact line. Wide space is also devoted to landscaping. Here the spectrum ranges from grassing to building your own beautiful conifers. Many model railroaders feel the need to perfect their vehicles, be it a simple electric car or a proud steam locomotive like the 18.5, optically and technically. This anthology also has suitable suggestions for readers with such demands. Buildings belong to every diorama and every facility. It doesn't matter whether they come from the box or are made in-house, the possibilities are almost inexhaustible. In this way, a brewery can be created from kits in great detail. Finally, for connoisseurs, we present some great N systems that demonstrate the diversity of this size. In short, you will enjoy this volume of “Modellbahn-Wissen”. |
Yours sincerely
Daniel Mrugalski
