Electric locomotive The Re 4/4” 11239 “Porrentruy” of the Swiss Federal Railways, epoch IV.

The Re 4/4” 11239 “Porrentruy” was the only locomotive of this series, which bore a municipal coat of arms. She inherited it from the Ae 6/6 11483, which became after the establishment of the canton of Jura of the “town locomotive Porrentruy” cantonal locus Jura.

The model is factory-fitted with built-in, load-controlled digital decoder and prototypical sound.

New type. The model of the NS 2297 impresses with the finest housing engravings and meticulous detailing of the heavy bogies of American design. The railings, which are very characteristic for this series, are elaborately etched metal parts. Following well-proven PIKO design principles, an engine with precisely balanced flywheel drives all four axles. The two inside axles are each provided with an adhesive tire. The model has a PluX interface and the light change red / white when the direction of travel changes. Taking into account the main area of ??application in the freight train and shunting service, the PIKO model can easily pass through radii down to 192 mm.

Seven locomotives of the series V36 received between 1955 and 1959 extensive conversions to be used in one-man operation can. Because the ride with the rather tall stem ahead was always a bit problematic and the view from this position was only possible to a limited extent, they were given a pulpit on the driver's cab. The locomotive drivers could now see because of their higher position forward and backward over the other cars. The locomotives of the V36 series were used for a variety of services. Among other things, Deutsche Post used its own V36 with Posthorn logo for years. Like the original Wehrmacht locomotives, the new V36.4 was also designed for use in double traction.
