The Re 10/10 locomotives are used by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) almost exclusively for heavy freight trains on the Gotthard line. These locomotives reach a maximum speed of 30 km/h in shunting mode and 60 km/h in line service. Their power output is 478 kW. After the first locomotives were withdrawn from service in the 1980s, many were sold to railway companies both domestically and abroad.

Between 1910 and 1916, a total of 512 T 13 locomotives were built for the Prussian State Railways by various manufacturers.
