It operated, among other routes, on the single-track Hanover - Soltau line, part of the so-called Heidebahn (current DB timetable route 123). Our model with the train destination display "Schongau" was the second VT 628, originally delivered to Braunschweig, which was then relocated to Kempten in June 1980. It ran on the Weilheim - Schongau railway line, also known as the Pfaffenwinkel railway line (current DB timetable route 962). The approximately 24 km long, single-track branch line in Upper Bavaria runs through the eponymous Pfaffenwinkel from Weilheim via Peißenberg and Peiting to Schongau.

“Tchibo train” wagon set: Apart from coffee, other Tchibo products have always been transported not only by truck but also by train. In 2005 in Neumarkt/Opf. a large Tchibo distribution warehouse has even been put into operation and for many years the Max Bögl company has been driving a long Tchibo train in two parts from the Neumarkt train station to reload the containers to the Bögl factory premises, from where they then drove to the Tchibo warehouse by truck become. Today, this train only consists of modern container wagons that are exclusively loaded with 40-foot standard or high-cube containers. In its heyday, the well-known Mönchshof brewery in Kulmbach owned a number of its own refrigerated wagons and freight wagons that had been converted into refrigerated wagons. But no matter how colorful the mix of cars was, for example the original Ibs, Iblps, Ichrs, Glmhs or Hbis, they all had two things in common: the typical blue color and the distinctive, large white lettering on the sides.

he striking red goods wagon with the pasta advertisement from the Münsingen manufacturer "Tress" has been a well-known station wagon at Münsingen station since 2010, which was once of great importance in freight transport. It is the former post-war carriage Glmhs 50-79 107, built in 1954 and equipped with lashing hooks. The SAB (Schwäbische Alb-Bahn) took it over from DB AG in 2010 along with three other carriages of this type. Since the reintroduction of rail freight traffic in 2010, around 10,000 tons of freight have been transported on the SAB on the Münsingen – Schelkingen route every year.
