In 2019, ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG put a new high-performance snow blower into operation. The machine, which is used to clear snow from snow-covered railway tracks, is powered by two 793 kW (approx. 1,100 hp) MAN twelve-cylinder engines. One engine powers the vehicle, the other operates the blower. The snow blower can clear up to 10,000 tons of snow per hour with a throwing distance of 40 meters. It is approved for speeds of up to 100 km/h for transfers. A 180° rotating rim allows for on-the-spot turning. This allows it to master even the most challenging alpine weather conditions.
Note: This model has limited usability in analog mode, so we recommend digital operation. In analog mode, the snow blower starts moving, the headlights and driving sounds are activated, and the paddle wheels rotate.

The WR360 C14 was developed in the late 1930s as a shunting locomotive for the Wehrmacht, which was to be used primarily in potentially explosive locations. The locomotive has 360 hp, three coupled axles and an axle load of 14 tons. After the war, the remaining locomotives, now known as V36s, went to the Deutsche Bundesbahn and Deutsche Reichsbahn. Locomotives also remained in the Czech Republic, Belgium and Austria. After the war, 14 locomotives were rebuilt. The DB also used the V36 in push-pull operation with passenger coaches. Between 1955 and 1959, seven locomotives were given electro-pneumatic controls that could be operated by just one man. Some V 36s underwent a major conversion for these operations: Because driving with the (quite high) front end in front was always a bit problematic and prevented one-man operation, a cockpit was placed on the driver's cab.

Novelty 2023: The shape variant of the BR E 91 DB in Era III takes into account all of the specific features of the prototype. PIKO captured the E 91 perfectly and transferred it to a scale of 1:160. The constructive symbiosis of excellent model implementation and excellent driving characteristics characterize the model. The sharp engravings on the housing, paired with extremely fine printing and decorated with extremely delicate pantographs, make the locomotive a piece of jewelry. Of course, the model has a light change using LED technology with red tail lighting. Additional lighting functions can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder; a Next18 interface is available for easy installation.

The update (the firmware download from the internet is free) can be performed with the decoder installed on the track (no need to open the vehicle) and is carried out either via the FCC digital command station or the programmer. If the necessary hardware is not available, Doehler & Haass will provide a programmer on loan upon request.
The DHSP10A vehicle decoder supports braking with asymmetric digital voltage (four diodes in series and one diode antiparallel, Lenz ABC), slow speed (with suitable braking modules) and bidirectional communication (locomotive address feedback in DCC operation, RailCom®).
For SX1 programming, any SUSI module or buffer connected to the supply voltage (VS) must be removed. It is sufficient to interrupt the supply voltage (red wire for SUSI) for the duration of the SX1 programming. SX2 and DCC programming are not affected by this.
Generally speaking: No guarantee can be given for SX1 programming. Please configure SX1 operation using SX2 parameter programming.
