New in 2023: The BR 101 in the “Our Prices” design from DB AG in Epoch VI. When implementing the 101 series on a scale of 1:160, PIKO perfectly tailored the external design of the three-phase locomotive. Details such as the DSA 350 single-arm pantographs were delicately reproduced. The sharply engraved bogies behind the low aprons round off the visual impression of the locomotive perfectly. A powerful mid-engine provides propulsion in the model. Two brass flywheels on the motor shaft ensure excellent synchronization. For good traction, the locomotive also has two diagonally arranged wheels covered with traction tires. In addition to the headlights using LED technology, the model also has driver's cab lighting. In the sound version, the BR 101 has a matching PIKO sound decoder ex works.

New for 2022: Print variant of the Schürzeneilzugwagen in the livery of a 1st/2nd Class cars of the DR in Era III. PIKO took on a challenge when designing the new type 42 fast train coaches and passed it brilliantly. The elegant vehicles are excellently reproduced in the N scale and close a large gap in the 1:160 scale vehicle fleet. The housing impresses with sharp and precise engravings, which develop a pleasant three-dimensional effect, especially on the bogies and in the door area, and thus decisively shape the harmonious appearance. The surface finish of the wagons consists of a very fine paint finish, which has been printed with absolutely sharp contours. Optional LED interior lighting on the wagons, which can be retrofitted in just a few simple steps, creates an additional atmosphere when the wagons are used in the system.

The model of the NS 2200 impresses with the finest case engravings and meticulous detail representation of the heavy bogies of American design. The railings, which are very characteristic for this series, are elaborately etched metal parts. Following the proven PIKO design principles, a motor with a precisely balanced flywheel drives all four axes. The two axles running inside each have a traction tire. The model has a PluX interface and the red / white light change when the direction of travel is changed. Taking into account the main area of application in freight train and shunting services, the PIKO model can easily drive through radii down to 192 mm.
