"Get on the track and have fun while maneuvering!" - That's the motto under which we have put our steam storage locomotive, because the maneuvering on the system should finally bring joy and you should have fun in the games.These locomotives only serve as shunting locomotives That's why our request to the chassis's developers was: "Like the prototype, it's allowed to 'wiggle' a bit and 'breathe' a bit, but it's not allowed to stand in shunting!" That was the supreme premise. With a clever, invisible technical gimmick, this is actually done and our N-steam storage locomotive has excellent power consumption characteristics for slow maneuvering.

Prototype information:
The VT 628 (or BR 628) is a two-part diesel multiple unit of the DB or DB AG, which consists of a motor car (BR 628) and a control car (BR 928). In recent years, two-part units have also been put together more frequently from motor vehicles, which are then referred to as "power packs" and can therefore be used more universally, especially on demanding routes with many inclines. These multiple units are used throughout Germany in local traffic on branch lines and subordinate main lines. They were built in various series from 1975 (initially together with the one-piece variant of the 627 series) until the 1990s, are considered the successors to the railbuses and, like them, are often referred to as "secondary line rescuers". numerous more modern successor types have long been the backbone of German local transport on non-electrified routes and some of them can still be found there today - even if they are now increasingly on the decline and have to make way for newer vehicles.Our model represents the last, " improved" series, i.e. the total of 309 railcars of the VT 628.4/928.4 built between 1992 and 1996, which, in contrast to its predecessor, the VT 628.2. has a car body that is 50 cm longer, since the rear entrance door is designed as a double door, in contrast to the one-piece version of its predecessor. In addition, the front entrance door was designed without a lower window, which was still present on the predecessor. Other externally visible differences are the now positive instead of negative train destination displays and the large snow plow on the front, which was not yet present on the predecessor.

Our model, with the Augsburg destination display, is one of the VT 628.0 railcars that were stationed in Kempten from the beginning. In May 1985, they lost their Scharfenberg couplers in favor of conventional draw and buffer devices and were fitted with a buffer beam. It was accepted on November 8, 1974, and operated, among other routes, on the nearly 40 km long, non-electrified, double-track Augsburg-Buchloe railway line (current DB timetable route 971).

“Tchibo train” wagon set: Apart from coffee, other Tchibo products have always been transported not only by truck but also by train. In 2005 in Neumarkt/Opf. a large Tchibo distribution warehouse has even been put into operation and for many years the Max Bögl company has been driving a long Tchibo train in two parts from the Neumarkt train station to reload the containers to the Bögl factory premises, from where they then drove to the Tchibo warehouse by truck become. Today, this train only consists of modern container wagons that are exclusively loaded with 40-foot standard or high-cube containers. However, some containers still have the large Tchibo logo on the side. Our slightly older Tchibo train is located in 1992.

In its heyday, the well-known Mönchshof brewery in Kulmbach owned a number of its own refrigerated wagons and freight wagons that had been converted into refrigerated wagons. he striking red goods wagon with the pasta advertisement from the Münsingen manufacturer "Tress" has been a well-known station wagon at Münsingen station since 2010, which was once of great importance in freight transport. It is the former post-war carriage Glmhs 50-79 107, built in 1954 and equipped with lashing hooks. The SAB (Schwäbische Alb-Bahn) took it over from DB AG in 2010 along with three other carriages of this type. Since the reintroduction of rail freight traffic in 2010, around 10,000 tons of freight have been transported on the SAB on the Münsingen – Schelkingen route every year.

The Class 86 was designed as a 1'D1' standard tender locomotive by the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) and built in large numbers starting in 1928. 244 locomotives remained in the area of what would later become East Germany, of which 71 had to be transferred to the Soviet Union.
