Gas turbine multiple unit series 602 of the German Federal Railway.
Consisting of two power cars (one motorized) and six intermediate cars.
- Gas turbine variant of our popular TEE/Intercity multiple unit
- True to the original, 8 parts
- Equipped with interior lighting ex works
The lack of performance of the diesel-powered VT 11.5 (BR 601) led to the conversion of four power cars to gas turbine drive in 1971, the most striking feature of which was now the large air inlets in front of the driver's cab, which supplied the turbine with air.
Due to defects, the operation of these trains became increasingly uneconomical, which is why the multiple units running under the name BR 602 were decommissioned by the DB in 1978 and 1979. Only the power car 602 003 has been preserved for museum purposes; You can find it today in the DB Museum in Nuremberg.

Company number: ET 91 01
Electric railcar ET 91 01 "Glass Train" of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
- Version in red-beige livery
- With built-in interior lighting as standard
In the early 1930s, in order to make traveling and excursion services more attractive for the German population, the then Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) decided to build a total of five observation railcars. At that time, it was important for the DRG to be able to stand up to the increasing competition in bus services for excursions. When building the railcars, the goal was to give all passengers as free and unhindered a view of the landscape as possible. In addition to three diesel-hydraulic vehicles, two were also ordered for electric operation. H. Fuchs Waggonfabrik in Heidelberg was responsible for the mechanical part, while AEG, Berlin, supplied the electrical part. Both railcars ET 91 01 and 02, which were given the sonorous name "Glass Train" by the population, quickly established themselves with the passengers. Popular excursions were the Karwendel tour via Mittenwald to Innsbruck or the Alpine tour via Salzburg, Bischofshofen and Kufstein to Munich.

When the Deutsche Reichsbahn decided to electrify all important main lines in 1980, there was a need for powerful universal locomotives. Building on the experience with the 250 series, the prototype of the 212 series was created in 1982 as a 140 km/h variant of the 243, which went into series production in 1984, with an output of 3,720 kW and a top speed of 120 km/h.
From 1990 onwards, 150 locomotives were rented by the German Federal Railways and used as class 143, mainly in the Freiburg area and the Ruhr area. After the two German state railways were unified in 1994, the remaining locomotives were also redesignated and have been running all over Germany ever since.

Electric locomotive 1116 181 of the Austrian Federal Railways.
- Cityjet design
- Current operating condition with black roof hood
- Licensed ÖBB model
- Z21 cab available
In 2019, the ÖBB started an upgrade program for the renewal of the double-decker trains (DOSTO). This means that around 100 cars will be optimized to modern Cityjet standards by 2023. The modernization includes, among other things, on-board WLAN, new seat covers, multi-purpose areas in each intermediate car with more space for bicycles, baby carriages and luggage, as well as newly furnished quiet zones. In May 2022, halfway through the ongoing DOSTO upgrade program, electric locomotive 1116 181 was painted in the Cityjet design. With this, ÖBB is setting an important example for attractive offers in public transport. The locomotive is not only used in front of the Cityjet trains, but also in regular passenger and freight traffic.
