Status of Compliance with Requirements

Our website largely meets the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in conjunction with the German Accessibility Strengthening Ordinance (BFSGV), the applicable technical standards of the EU standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1, Level AA.

By using an accessibility-oriented content management system in conjunction with an in-house developed shop environment, we minimize deviations from the aforementioned standards. Due to the large number of products presented, additional information such as transcripts or text alternatives can sometimes be integrated with a short delay.

Deviations from the aforementioned standards are currently known in the following areas:

  • The HTML structure, e.g., of headings and content, still exhibits minor deviations from the semantic standards in individual cases. This is partly due to the dynamic, filter-dependent structure of some pages.
  • Some links are not recognizable as such or are only recognizable by color, but their clickability is clear from the context or the link leads to less relevant additional information.
  • Not all information is offered via more than one sensory channel.
  • We are continuously working on improving accessibility.

  • Manual visual inspection of key page areas and types
  • Analysis using automated testing tools such as Accessibe, Silktide, and other accessibility checkers
  • Orientation based on the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines
